A lovely historic hotel looking out over the town of Bishops Castle and the Shropshire hills. Family-run, welcoming and dog-friendly, the Castle Hotel has great food and drink with excellent service. Having used the bar and restaurant many times over the years this is the first time that we stayed and we weren't disappointed!

Stayed here 8 times 4 for the New Year Celebration and 4 times during the year and already booked again for 2024. A wonderful little Hotel friendly helpful staff with 5⭐️ food. Great place to take your dog. They deserve all the awards they have won over the years. Highly recommended Castle Hotel.

Good quality food and service in an historic building. Warm, cosy atmosphere. Good selection of beer and wine. Easy parking, located a little bit out of the centre of Bishops Castle. Visited on the 22nd December, was very busy, the locals seemed very friendly and welcoming.

Our first stay at The Castle. Very warm welcome for us and our dog inc. a box of dog goodies. Lovely real fires and staff so helpful. The food was a real treat and not to be missed. A great spot to explore. A walk of the day suggested along with places to visit. Would recommend giving it a try and very reasonable in price.

Excellent stay. We have stayed previously but this time we upgraded our room to a Master bedroom and it was well worth the extra money. The lovely bath with views over the Shropshire hills was wonderful and so relaxing. The staff here …
